Overview

North Shore Gymnastics offers many classes for kids of all ages and abilities from 3 to 18 years old. We offer a progression of classes that will challenge your child as he or she develops her strength, flexibility, and skill level. Our recreational gymnastic classes, by far, are the most popular. Safety is our top priority, but fun is a close second. We keep the class ratios small so the kids get a lot of individual attention. The kids stay active during the entire class.

We maintain safe class sizes

We have a minimum and a maximum number of students for each class in accordance to USAG standards. For preschool classes we maintain a 6:1 ration and our beginner to advanced students we keep a 8:1 ratio. Class size ratios (# of students per instructor) are extremely important to the proper and safe training of each student.

When can I sign up my child?

We offer 11 week Winter and Spring sessions and a 15 week Fall session. During the summer we offer shorter sessions. We have continuous enrollment, which means you can enroll in a class at any time.

When can my child move up to the next level?

At the end of each session (11 weeks), each skill of every student is evaluated. The performance of the student determines class placement for the next session.

How are the classes structured?

The classes consist of all apparatuses including trampoline (everybody's favorite). All classes are divided into 15 minute rotations.  Each week they will do a warm-up and floor. They will alternate between the other events (beam, bars, vault, trampoline and rings for boys).

The advanced classes work on 15 minutes of back handsprings and 15 minutes of conditioning. Conditioning is an important factor in gymnastics, but we make it FUN.
